ISLAMABAD, Apr 26 (APP): Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik Sunday urged militants to lay down their arms as the government will not allow anyone to challenge its writ.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said "militants have no options except to lay down their arms because the government is serious to flash them out."
The Advisor said the government will not allow anyone to challenge its writ, adding the government will establish its writ at all costs, through strict action against militants as "enough is enough".
It is the responsibility of the government to take care of the life and property of the people living in the country, he added.
He said militants cannot take control of the country, as security forces are capable enough to tackle them.

"Federal government only intervene on the request of provincial government and operation in Lower Dir has been carried out on the request of NWFP government" the Advisor said.

Rehman Malik said the people could not tolerate elements perpetrating such dastardly acts.

"We have given a chance to the peace in Swat, if peace is not restored in the areas, action shall be taken against the militants", he added.
He urged the local militants of the area to play their role in the development and progress of the country as Pakistan is their own country.
