Malakand to have eight more girls’ colleges




PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) Working Committee member Gul Mina Bilal Ahmad says at least eight more girls' colleges will be established in Malakand Division, while the damaged educational institutions will be re-built with the financial assistance of different donor agencies.


"In order to facilitate the FA, FSc and BA, BSc female students to continue their education, the government will give Rs 5,000 to Rs15,000 to each student and lists have already been prepared in this regard," Gul said while distributing relief cheques among the female displaced students from Malakand Division here on Sunday. The cheques for Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 given by different relief agencies were handed over to around 100 female students.


Gul said that the present provincial government was making utmost efforts to provide quality education to women on priority basis. She said under the macro-banking system they had planned to eradicate unemployment. She said the provincial government had also made a plan to provide jobs to female prisoners. She said 500 jobless people would also be sent abroad for employment. She called upon the donor agencies to come forward and financially assist the provincial government. She said the provincial government was in dire straits but despite that it would provide free of cost quality education to the bright students of matriculation and FA FSc.
