After the precedent setting Civilian Technology Agreement with the US India is going ahead with agreements with Canada, Russia and maybe Australia. There are others falling over each other to sell nuclear energy related material. The Bush administration breathed new life into nuclear trade by making a single country exception to the non-proliferation regime. The US also set a bench mark for a relationship with Pakistan.
