SRINAGAR: The UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, has called for an immediate end to violence in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Spokesman Martin Nesirky said Ban "urges calm and restraint by all concerned."
Ban's comments comes as police in the troubled region on Wednesday said a man wounded during protests against Indian rule had died.
Thousands of troops are enforcing a rigid curfew for the 10th straight day.
There were no fresh street protests, a rare breather in almost daily protests. However, the 20-year-old protester wounded in a street battle with government forces on Sept. 13 died in hospital in the main city of Srinagar.
